Jimmy Holbrook

Welcome to the website of KB4GKI and the .82 Repeater Group!

KB4GKI is Jimmy Holbrook - he was first licensed in 1983 as a novice, and was able to upgrade to extra in March of 2020. He really enjoyed the digital modes of FT-4 and FT-8, and always used the QRZ log book for all of his contacts on the digital modes.

He was often found on the WB4PZA repeater (the .82 repeater) in Wilkesboro.

On September 23, 2021 Jimmy lost his battle with the COVID-19 virus and became a Silent Key.  One of his wishes was to maintain his website as an impromtu information source for his beloved .82 repeater group. With the assistance from one of his best friends, AB1JU, we are keeping this wish fufilled.

You are invited!

The .82 repeater group is holding a Chicken and Dumplings luncheon!

Come one, come all! November 20th at noon; mark your calendars!!

The luncheon will be held at Dean's house, 837 Old Highway 601, Mt. Airy, NC.  (Beside the White Plains Friends Meeting Church.)

Contact Butch, KM4KWN on the .82 repeater or use the Contact Us form if you can come and if you can bring something!

We'll be needing some styrofoam bowls, some spoons, some cups and of course, desserts! (A side dish or two couldn't hurt either!)
